Patti Monaghen saw the world through the lens of a camera and discovered her calling at age 11. And she still hasn't put down the camera.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Patti found plenty of opportunities to develop her skill as a photographer. But she wasn't satisfied just clicking the shutter. She immersed herself in the entire process, building a reputation among other professional photographers as an exceptionally talented printer.

Now a photographer and photographic printer for more than 18 years, she works independently, selecting jobs that catch her imagination. She has a certain devotion to Chicago, but travels the world making each trip a photographic journey. From New Zealand to Ireland, from the Dominican Republic to Europe and Central America, Patti captures the diverse land- and cityscapes of each new place. But her favorite subjects are everyday people in everyday situations, all over the world.
